Bath installation
Install
Bath installation
Fitting a bath needs a level cradle or feet, a robust waste and overflow, accessible trap where possible, and supplies that do not fight the shower screen design. Acrylic, steel and cast baths behave differently on site.
Common issues
Insufficient support causing flex and cracked seals, wastes trapped without cleaning access, and mixer taps that cannot be serviced after boarding. We plan service hatches where enclosures hide traps.
Visit outline
Position and level, secure, connect waste and overflow, fit taps or deck mixers, seal to walls as agreed with your tiler, and water-test before final surrounding finishes where sequencing allows. Agreed price before lifting the old bath out.

Showering over the bath
If a shower mixer hangs over the new bath, screen weight and fixing points must be planned before tiling. We set tap holes and waste positions that suit the screen system you chose.
Roll-top and freestanding
Freestanding baths still need discrete supply and waste routes that look intentional. Floor joist notches for wastes need structural care — we will not cut joists beyond safe practice.
Replacing like for like
Keeping the same footprint speeds the job. Changing length or handed wastes adds pipework time we will include in the quote.
