Appliances need correct isolation valves, secure hose connections and lawful waste arrangements. Most indoor floods still start with a failed washing-machine hose.
What we check
Valve quality, hose age and routing (no sharp bends), standpipe or spigot height, and whether the waste can accept the discharge rate without siphoning the trap dry. We replace suspect valves rather than relying on seized stubs.
On the visit
Isolate, swap valves and hoses as agreed, connect the appliance, run a test cycle while inspecting for weeps, and show you where isolation lives. If the kitchen waste is blocked, we clear or escalate to blocked sink work with a clear price.

Flood prevention extras
Braided hoses age; consider newer flood-safe hoses if the appliance sits on an upper floor. We can fit them during a valve refresh.

Washer-dryers and stacked pairs need firm valves and tidy wastes so vibration does not loosen joints. Tell us about stacking kits when booking.
Integrated dishwashers
Door and plinth clearances affect hose routing. We coordinate with the fitter so hoses are not kinked behind kickboards.
