Drain cleaning and high-pressure jetting

High-pressure jetting uses controlled water pressure to cut through grease, silt and root fibres that rods cannot fully remove. It is common on catering wastes, long outdoor runs and drains that re-block within weeks of a simple clear.

When jetting helps

Recurring kitchen blockages, fatbergs in hospitality drains, and silted surface-water gullies respond well when the pipe is otherwise structurally sound. Jetting is not a cure for collapsed or heavily displaced pipe — that needs survey and repair.

On the visit

We assess access to chambers, protect surrounding areas, and select nozzle and pressure appropriate to the pipe material. After jetting we may recommend a CCTV drain survey to confirm clearance or reveal defects for drain repair. Scope and price are agreed before the jetting run.

Start with blocked drains if you have not had a first diagnosis. Commercial kitchens: see restaurants and hospitality. Call 01332 314146 for Derby-area attendance.

Noise, water and access

Jetting is wet and noisy. We need parking near the chamber where possible and a clear route for hoses. Tell us about parking restrictions or gated access when you book.

After jetting

A temporary smell can occur as films break up. Persistent odour after a successful clear may mean a dry trap elsewhere or a ventilation issue on the stack — different jobs from the original blockage.

Maintenance contracts

Hospitality and busy blocks sometimes schedule periodic jetting. See planned maintenance if you want that conversation rather than emergency-only clears.
